Apostille Services

Croatia is a country located in the Balkan (Central and Southeast Europe) and many Indians move there for work. Whether it’s for education, work or any personal reasons, you need an apostille stamp on your Indian documents before using them in Croatia. Without an MEA apostille, your documents will not be accepted for any purpose in Croatia. In India, the apostille is granted by The Ministry of External Affairs (MEA) after it has been verified by relevant state authorities. Since Croatia joined the Hague Convention on 30 November 2009, it has abolished the requirement for embassy attestation. In short, you only need an MEA apostille to use your documents in their country. Let’s discuss more about the apostille process, documents needed, timeline and how to get apostille services for Croatia.

After notarization, your documents must undergo state-level verification. This involves verification from different departments for different documents.
For educational documents like SSC, HSC, marksheets, degrees etc, the Human Resource Development (HRD) verification is needed.
For commercial documents like invoices, master data etc, the Chamber of Commerce (CoC) verification is needed.
For personal documents like PCC, birth certificates, marriage certificates, driving licences etc, your state’s home department (SHD) verification is needed.

Note: Additional or sole verification by a Sub-Divisional Magistrate (SDM) may be needed depending on your document type and visa requirements.
