Get your documents attested by the Qatari Embassy right here. If you’re planning to move to Qatar, you’ll need your documents attested by the Qatar Embassy. Whether it’s personal documents like birth or marriage certificates, commercial papers like invoices, or educational credentials like degree certificates, attestation is needed. The process to attest your documents from the Qatari embassy is lengthy and time-consuming but we are here to help. We are experts at simplifying the process and handling everything from the notary public to the Ministry of External Affairs (MEA) to the Qatar Embassy attestation in India. Find all the details below.
To get your documents verified by the Qatari consulate, your documents will go through 4 stages of verification.
The first step is notarization. A notary public is a government-appointed official authorized to verify the authenticity of signatures and documents. The notary stamp is given on your document to imply that the document itself is genuine and is not forged or tampered with. It is needed for many documents like contracts, wills, personal declaration documents, power of attorney, affidavits and others.
Once notarized, your documents head to the relevant department for further verification:
The Ministry of External Affairs (MEA) acts as the central authority for external affairs in India. Their attestation serves as the official stamp of approval from the Indian government, confirming the authenticity of your documents and the legitimacy of previous issuing authorities like Notary Public, Home Department, SDM, HRD, and Chamber of Commerce. Once MEA stamps your document, it is ready for final verification.
The Ministry of Foreign Affairs (MOFA) in Qatar plays a vital role in visa approvals. To ensure the authenticity and legitimacy of your documents, MOFA requires them to be verified by the relevant Qatari authorities. After MEA attestation, your documents are verified by the Qatari embassy. Once they put an attestation stamp, your documents are ready to be used in Qatar.
While you can certainly do Qatari attestation yourself, it’s a multi-step process that requires patience and familiarity with various government agencies. You have to take your documents and get them attested by the following government agencies: Notary Public for Notarization > Sub-Divisional Magistrate (SDM) or State Home Department or Human Resource Department (HRD) or Chamber of Commerce> Ministry of External Affairs (MEA). Finally, you have to take your documents to the Qatar embassy in India to get the last stamp.
