Iran Embassy Attestation Process Time & Cost

In the first step, some documents need verification by a Notary Public.  Specific documents, like affidavits and personal declarations, will require a notary stamp to confirm their validity. This initial step paves the way for further attestation.

Once notarized, your documents travel to the appropriate authority for verification:

• Educational Documents: Head to the Human Resource Development (HRD) department for their stamp of approval.
• Personal Documents (Birth Certificates, Marriage Certificates): The State Home Department will handle attestation for these documents.
• Business Documents: The Chamber of Commerce takes center stage, authenticating your business-related paperwork.

In some cases, The Sub-Divisional Magistrate (SDM) will attest your documents before sending them to the MEA.

Following state-level validation, your documents reach the Ministry of External Affairs (MEA). This crucial step adds the national seal of approval, confirming the legitimacy of the previous attestations. Think of it as the final stamp of authenticity before heading to Iran.

With the MEA’s stamp in hand, your documents are finally submitted to the Irani Embassy. This is the most critical step for visa purposes, as the Embassy verifies your documents and grants the final attestation, making them valid for use in Iran.
