Document Attestation for Vietnam

The Vietnam Embassy attestation process begins with notary stamping, which is necessary for a variety of certifications. While not all papers require notarization, some must — such as powers of attorney, affidavits, agreements, wills, and personal declaration forms. This first phase lays the basis for future attestation of your certifications.

After notary approval, your paperwork is sent to the State Home Department or HRD for validation. HRD authentication is in charge of attesting educational papers SDM attestation, an alternative to HRD attestation, can be used for personal documents like birth and marriage certificates. Your business and commercial papers are submitted straight to the Chamber of Commerce for authentication.

Once the documents have been confirmed by the SDM/HRD/Chamber of Commerce, they are forwarded to the Ministry of External Affairs (MEA) for additional attestation. It is the ultimate Indian-level authentication of your papers. Once the MEA has stamped your documents, they are ready for the last stage.

Following MEA authentication, the documents are delivered to the Vietnam Embassy. Before issuing a visa, the MOFA (Ministry of Foreign Affairs) in Vietnam needs the Vietnamese Embassy to certify your documents. The Vietnam embassy attests personal, educational, and commercial papers that have already been certified by the MEA.
