Step 3:MEA Attestation of Marriage Certificates

In the next step, you have to take your verified marriage certificate to the Ministry of External Affairs (MEA). MEA is the main government body that verifies your documents on the national level. Their attestation confirms the authenticity of previous certifications. After your marriage certificates get stamped by the MEA, they’re all set for the final step.

Step 4:Embassy Attestation of Marriage Certificate

Take your MEA-attested marriage certificate to the embassy office of the country you plan to migrate to. This is the most important stage for visa applications. The foreign embassy will check your document one last time and will issue a final attestation stamp on it, making your marriage certificate valid in that country.
